In an effort to be heard, the West 58th Street Coalition, who says they have been trying for years to gain face time with de Blasio over the controversial plan to convert the block’s old Park Savoy Hotel to a homeless shelter, have purchased 10 billboards throughout the key presidential primary state, Iowa.  The Mayor of NYC is running for off a Democratic nomination for the presidency. The group has a $100,000 budget — enough to keep the $1,500-a-month billboards dotting Iowa for at least six months.
