Media Resources Launches Two Iconic LED Display Installations for Branded Cities in Toronto’s Yonge & Dundas
A milestone in OOH: Branded Cities Bolsters Presence in Yonge & Dundas with Media Resources’ LED Display Installation
Over the last two decades, Media Resources has continuously demonstrated its commitment to providing cutting-edge visual communication solutions. Commanding an unprecedented 90% dominance in the digital and classic media space at Yonge & Dundas, Branded Cities operates an integrated network of premier digital and static signage across North America. Media Resources has become a trusted partner in delivering large format prints, 3D custom props, and digital LED displays. Our comprehensive turnkey solution covers every aspect, from engineering and manufacturing to installation and ongoing service and maintenance.
The first display, installed on the Rogers Sports & Media Tower, is a monumental 90-foot high by 34-foot-wide digital display. Media Resources implemented their state-of-the-art VISIONiQ 10.67mm SMD product featuring their patented SITELINE™ technology. This innovative solution effectively mitigates light trespass, ensuring a captivating visual experience while respecting neighboring condos.
Taking the immersive experience to new heights, the second display has been installed on the South side of Branded Cities Atrium Tower and stands as Canada’s largest digital display. Getting its title of “King of Spectaculars” from its size the LED display spans an impressive 130 feet in height by 79 feet in width, captivating audiences with its VISIONiQ 10.67mm SMD digital brilliance. The installation process included the removal of existing signage, structural modifications, and the meticulous commissioning of the display.
“With incredible dedication from our talented employees, we could not be prouder of their monumental effort in seeing these two projects from engineering to manufacturing and to installation,” said Jeff Rushton, President & CEO of Media Resources. “Especially given the short window of time in the middle of the night to have the commissioning completed, their commitment and expertise shined through. We are equally proud to have been selected by our friends at Branded Cities to work side by side throughout the entire process. Over the years, they continue to be a wonderful team of people to work with.”
“The addition of Rogers Tower and The Atrium to our digital line-up at Yonge & Dundas expands our domination of this iconic venue and we are excited for the amazing possibilities this brings to brands and the Canadian OOH market” stated Steve Ellman, Chairman & CEO of Branded Cities. “Our reputation for offering brands their premium assets in iconic venues relies on world-class companies such as Media Resources whose service, quality of work, and capabilities for this project were unmatched in the industry.”
With these groundbreaking displays, Branded Cities continues its digital and static dominance in Yonge & Dundas, offering advertisers unprecedented opportunities to create immersive campaigns that synchronize seamlessly with each of their massive displays. The addition of these displays further encourages brands to utilize cutting-edge technologies such as Branded Cities’ DreamRoom3D and elevates the venue’s status as a premier advertising hub, reminiscent of New York’s Times Square.
This development marks a significant milestone in the Canadian Out-of-Home industry, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to delivering innovative Out-of-Home solutions. The Rogers Tower and The Atrium projects exemplify the seamless integration of technology and design, creating a powerful impact on the audience of over 158,000 daily residents and tourists who frequent Yonge & Dundas.
The Rogers Tower project’s success is also attributed to Media Resources’ proprietary SITELINE technology, which ensures light is projected within desired viewing angles, preventing light trespass beyond those angles. This innovative solution enabled the realization of a digital spectacle in an area where such displays would otherwise face restrictions, making it a groundbreaking achievement.
