Established photographer Yanick Déry creates content for billboards that double as art exhibits. His project, dubbed “#IAMOOH”, aims to expose the overlap between art and advertising to the everyday consumer. Additionally, Déry strives to increase brand visibility by combining striking and stylish images with a web-based outreach strategy, encouraging viewers to interact with the brand via social media.
Watch the 57 second video #IAMOOH below. Very impressive.
The campaign started with 12 billboards in Montreal, Quebec, and all fees from shooting to ad space were paid for by the brands advertised. The project is ongoing, and Déry says he is open to continue in any location. Déry’s infusion of art and advertising has been especially relevant during the age of COVID, as it has helped companies maximize exposure, both through OOH and digitally.
