OUTFRONT wins Louisville Digital Kiosks, and ‘Brat’ hand painted wall wins OOH Media Plan Awards. A weekly recap of the top OOH stories you may have missed and colorful commentary from BB for the week ending December 8, 2024.
1. OUTFRONT’s New Digital Kiosk Network
OUTFRONT Media has partnered with Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) to bring a new dynamic digital kiosk network to Louisville’s city center. They will start with 15 digital kiosks, or a 30 faces, in key heavily trafficked landmarks throughout the downtown. Places include the Muhammad Ali Center, Whiskey Row, the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, the KFC Yum! Center, the Kentucky International Convention Center, and more.
B.B.’s Take: These digital kiosks look pretty damn good. As they should as OUT is expert in placement and purchasing of digital. Is this a beginning of further development for OUT in this space in similar downtown opportunities?
2. ‘Brat Wall’ Wins OOH Media Plan of the Year
The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA), announced the winners of its annual OOH Media Plan Awards during the Advertising Club of New York’s 17th annual OOH: Now event. The OOH Media Plan of the Year was given to the “Brat Wall” campaign, a collaboration between Atlantic Records, Charli XCX, and Colossal Media.
The “Brat Wall” campaign launched in May 2024, transforming a mural in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood into a cultural phenomenon. The ad promoted Charli XCX’s single “360” and her album Brat. During its grand reveal, Charli XCX gave a surprise live performance in front of the mural.
B.B.’s Take: Media Plan of the Year Award is prestigious recognition for the Media Agencies hard work in planning and placement. Congrats to all involved in making the grade. Other plans awarded are listed in the story highlighted and linked above. We encourage you to send them kudos for their efforts and recognition.
