Ballyhoo Media Launches the Seattle Sound Digital Spectaculars, the First and Only
Large-Format Digital OOH Network in Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — Ballyhoo Media, the nation’s largest waterway media company, in partnership with Washington State Ferries (WSF), the largest ferry transit system in the U.S., has launched the Seattle Sound Digital Spectaculars, a new digital OOH network consisting of 14 premium screens, including digital roadside billboards, full-motion terminal video walls, and LCD networks. It is the first DOOH network of its kind to reach the heart of downtown Seattle, Bainbridge Island, and other high-value suburban markets that have historically been out of reach by traditional OOH.

Digital OOH opportunities in Seattle have historically been limited, with no large-format digital inventory in Downtown Seattle and billboard bans across commuter suburbs like Bainbridge Island and Kingston. The Seattle Sound Digital Spectaculars now give brands the opportunity to capture commuters across multiple touchpoints on their daily journeys with bold, dynamic, high-impact formats.

“It’s great to offer our partners a new and exciting canvas never before offered in the Seattle DMA,” said Tyler Zlatin. “Oversized roadside billboards, full-motion LED walls, and a range of other formats give the region an overdue upgrade and a whole new way to connect with commuters that’s bold, engaging, and unlike anything in Seattle.”

“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to partner on this iconic project with the great folks at Ballyhoo Media & Washington State Ferries,” said Jeff Rushton, Co-Owner, President and CEO of Media Resources. “With their vision, we designed and manufactured beautiful landscape format digital displays integrated throughout the property. Leveraging our VISIONiQ® SMD digital display system in both 4.8mm and 10.67mm formats, the displays bring a true sense of visualization to the space for advertisers and commuters alike. We are very proud to be part of this project.”

The network reaches both vehicles via roadside placements and walk-on passengers through terminal-based inventory. Through a single buy, advertisers gain access to more than 26.6 million annual passenger trips across Downtown Seattle, Kitsap, and King County.
