Did you know that in 2021, only 56% of Americans report watching Satellite or Cable TV? (Source: Pew Research) Or that according to a recent Simmons study, 1 in 4 respondents indicate that they had cancelled their satellite/cable subscriptions in the last 24 months? By 2024, non-pay-tv households are projected to surpass households with subscriptions to Pay-TV packages!
As more households continue to “cut the cord” OOH represents an effective medium to reaching both Pay-TV audiences and Cord-Cutters alike. In fact, according to a recent Simmons study, 74% of those who report switching to streaming services from cable report noticing an OOH advertisement in the last 30 days. These audiences may be missing out on television commercials from cable programming, but not OOH!
