2020 Geopath/OAAA Media Conference and Expo
We received the following update from Geopath yesterday regarding the annual #OOH conference. It is still scheduled for April 27-29, 2020. See the official update below.
GO2020 Coronavirus Update
With our conference six weeks away, we are actively monitoring the Coronavirus outbreak. At this time, the conference is still proceeding as planned.
The health and safety of our attendees and our industry is our top priority as we move forward. In the event of travel restrictions or on the advice of local, state, or federal officials, we are prepared to cancel, postpone, or consider a virtual conference experience.
In the event that GO2020 must be rescheduled, we will provide as much advance notice as possible. Please let us know if your organization has any travel restrictions currently in place that might prevent your attendance.
We will re-evaluate our position throughout the week and will provide you with regular updates.

Hi Brent: GO2020 is just delaying the inevitable. They need to cancel/postpone the conference. Now.

Thank you for your comment Tom Carroll. It seems cancel or postpone would be the logical move. I am wondering if there is a process the Geopath/OAAA have to go through with their board of directors, gaining consensus among the membership, particularly the Big 3 and Big 5, vetting Vendors supporting the conference and finally, if there are steps in a negotiation process with the hotel and various suppliers to reach the most favorable release from agreements.
