1. OUTFRONT Names Nick Brien, Interim CEO

Nick Brien, interim CEO Outfront

OUTFRONT announced the appointment of Nick Brien as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective February 10, 2025. He has years of industry and leadership experience, including serving on OUTFRONT’s Board of Directors for many years. Under Brien’s interim leadership, the company will focus on amplifying OOH’s power to drive brand awareness and measurable performance while continuing to provide exceptional value to agencies, brands, key stakeholders, and stockholders.

B.B.’s Take: We like the guy. He came out swinging at the 2019 OOH Conference, sharing strong insights on marketing and OOH. Comments on OOH and the OAAA that, if I recall correctly, resulted in a few OAAA staff to faint during his keynote. Or did they? I don’t remember. You tell us —Listen to his presentation, which you can find in our Podcast intro linked here —here is that OOH Today podcast from 2019,   And I will add this: if you are an OUTFRONT employee, you will surely want to listen to his keynote comments from back then. This guy is your new interim CEO.

2. Artificial Intelligence for OOH Creative Approval is Here

Broadsign AI

Broadsign is launching an AI-powered tool to automate creative categorization and approval for OOH advertising. The AI analyzes factors like aspect ratio, resolution, and content to suggest approvals, reducing manual review time for media owners.

Trained on two years of data, the AI minimizes misclassification and flags sensitive content. Set to launch in early Q2 2025, it aims to streamline workflows, speed up campaigns, and unlock new revenue opportunities.

B.B.’s Take: An Artificial Intelligence tool that will categorize and approve your OOH creative. Who doesn’t like that?  Who needs it?
