A majority of U.S. adults (85%) are expecting to travel this summer and driving is the leading mode of transportation. Nearly half (48%) of Americans who plan to vacation this summer will take two weeks or more, up from (41%) last summer, according to Harris Poll research from OAAA.

Orange County Billboards Advertise to Criminals

In an effort to curb burglaries and smash-and-grabs, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office is using federal funding to advertise to criminals on public transit and billboards along major freeways coming into the OC from LA and Riverside counties, sending the message that “Crime doesn’t Pay in Orange County.”

The Department of Justice and the Department of the Treasury Asset Forfeiture allows monies seized from criminal operations to be used by law enforcement to pay for advertising to deter crime.

UAE Projection Mapping Sets 3 Guinness World Records

Creative technology firm Bureau Béatrice has set the record for the largest architectural temporary projection-mapped display by creating a 30,662 square meter projection on the One Za’abeel structure in Dubai. The seven-minute display turned two skyscrapers into a tapestry of light and color.
