Lime Helps People Move Freely and Proudly Through Their Cities For Pride With “Ride Forward”
Lime is proud to support LGBTQIA+ communities on the move this Pride, delivering reliable transportation and visible allyship in over 24 cities worldwide
San Francisco, CA — Lime, the world’s largest shared electric vehicle company, is launching its Global Pride 2025 campaign: “Ride Forward”. Lime aims to support its rider community—including diverse and historically underrepresented groups—by helping people get where they need to go for Pride, ensuring that everyone has access to celebrate, gather, and show up proudly in their cities. Lime will reinvest in LGBTQIA+ communities through hyper-local partnerships, visibly wrap its vehicles in Pride flags, encourage grassroots funding, and conduct on-the-ground activations across its global footprint.
The 2025 campaign reinforces Lime’s ongoing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community as part of its broader mission to champion equity, inclusion, and dignity for all. This year, Lime will participate in Pride initiatives in over 24 cities across the US, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, each with its own locally led partnership and donation plan.
Lime’s Pride campaign will activate in cities across the globe, including Albuquerque, Atlanta, Auckland, Boise, Brisbane, Chicago, Christchurch, Denver, Gold Coast, Grand Rapids, London, Los Angeles, Mayo, Melbourne, Minneapolis, New York City, Oklahoma City, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, Spokane, Sydney and Washington D.C. Lime will be making donations to participating organizations in each city.
As the official mobility sponsor for World Pride in Washington D.C., Lime is also proud to play a key role in supporting the largest LGBTQIA+ event ever hosted in the U.S., while emphasizing its commitment to inclusion for all underserved groups. In addition to serving the millions of expected attendees, Lime will provide transportation via its e-bikes and e-scooters for festival staff, volunteers, and performers, as well as larger designated parking areas near major events and increased vehicle availability to meet higher anticipated demand.
In addition to wrapping its vehicles for the larger campaign, Lime will conduct an awareness campaign via social media, as well as in-app and email messaging, to let riders know about opportunities to support local LGBTQIA+ organizations and events throughout the month of June.
“We are proud to stand with the LGBTQIA+ community in the hundreds of cities we operate around the world,” said Wayne Ting, CEO of Lime. “That’s why we’re showing up this Pride with sustained support and increased visibility, because everyone should feel comfortable and confident in who they are and who they love.”
Lime’s support for the LGBTQIA+ community extends far beyond Pride Month—the company has ongoing partnerships with impactful organizations like Destination Tomorrow in New York City and the AIDS Foundation Chicago. These relationships reflect Lime’s belief that allyship is a daily commitment, and that meaningful impact happens through sustained engagement with the local communities it serves from a wide range of backgrounds.
“Pride is not just about parades,” Ting adds. “It’s about safety, visibility, and access. It’s about ensuring that LGBTQIA+ people can move through our cities freely, confidently, and joyfully—365 days a year. That’s the future Lime is proud to help build.”
Lime also supports the LGBTQIA+ community through its LimePride Employee Resource Group (ERG). LimePride is a space for LGBTQIA+ employees and allies to gather, support and advocate for each other. The ERG leverages community experiences to foster an inclusive and safe workplace for everyone. In June, LimePride is sponsoring both educational and celebratory events internally, encouraging all employees to not only celebrate Pride month but also reflect on the challenges and struggles that the LGBTQIA+ community continues to face around the world.
Lime strives to be a company that lives its values year-round in every city it operates. Lime’s Pride campaign is the latest example of its values-driven approach, building upon the company’s industry-leading Lime Access program, which offers discounts for riders in need, and its Lime Hero program, which allows riders to round up the cost of their rides to support local community organizations. Lime’s success is a result of its focus on being the best partner to cities, working collaboratively to build successful micromobility programs tailored to fit each city’s unique needs, and to extend its impact beyond equitable, sustainable transportation services.
