Here is a Movie Fact Only Appreciated by a Billboard Professional
How does a Movie about Billboards get released in the same week as one named Lady Bird?
I can’t make this up. The irony is of the two movie titles released in the same year is an event that seems deliberately contrary and certainly amusing. Text book definition of Irony.
Claudia Alta “Lady Bird” Johnson, known as Lady Bird, wife of 36th President, Lyndon Baines Johnson, was a First Lady who used her high-profile position as an opportunity to lobby against billboards in the early ’60’s. Her pet project led to the Highway Beautification Act.
It is with that information in mind, I share, the poor woman, who died in 2007, must be turning in her grave, when two of the best movies in 2017 are named 1 ” Lady Bird” and 2. “3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”
